Alberta Vaulters Earn WEG Qualifying Scores

Sisters Angelique and Jeanine van der Sluijs of Olds AB, and Team Alberta’s Northern Lights Squad members have made history having qualified as the first ever Canadian Vaulting Squad and Pas de Deux team eligible to represent Canada at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.

Jeanine and Angelique qualified in the Freestyle Pas de Deux at the Pacific Cup CVI 3* held in Hollister, CA USA. Jeanine also qualified for the women’s CVI3* Individual Division. Read more from the Pacific Cup
Qualifying scores were also earned at the CVI Chilliwack held May 23-24 in Chilliwack, BC, Canada’s only international vaulting competition. Jeanine and Angelique improved their previously earned Freestyle Pas de Deux qualifying score, and Jeanine also improved her SVI3* Individual Division score.Team Alberta’s Northern Lights Squad members: Todd Griffiths, Jeanine van der Sluijs, Shianne Hofer, Angelique van der Sluijs, Brooke Boyd and Dallyn Shields qualified in SCI3*Squad for their performance at the Chilliwack CVI.
